Is it required to install a DC disconnect in ground mount if neither the inverter nor the string combiner is placed by the array?
I have been told by a couple of installers that the NEC code requires it, but I have not be able to find the specific reference to it in the code book myself. The only sections that talk about DC disconnect:
Can anyone point to a specific section in the NEC code book that necessitates such a need?

- NEC 609.9 (D) Overcurrent Protection - Photovoltaic Source and Output Circuits
- NEC 609.15(A) Utility interactive inverters mounted in not readily accessible locations
- NEC 609.16(B) Servicing fuses
Can anyone point to a specific section in the NEC code book that necessitates such a need?
