AED for the jobsite?

I never have looked into it, but I wonder how much a battery is for one of those puppies

I've found them from Phillips Electronics for as cheap as $1200 bucks, with the battery being around 175 bucks. The battery, obviously, is the regular maintenance item. It seems to have a life that varies inversely with the original cost of the unit itself. That is to say, the more expensive units have longer lived batteries.

I think it's a good idea to have them. I work for a utility company and we have them at our facilities. Our company requires us to go through a CPR/First aid course every year. The instructor also covers the AEDs. I think the training is the best thing even though it does talk you through the pocess.

Everything you purchase is about getting the best price. You can pay more and get the battery. I do have over 50 units so that may also why I get a discount. Thye know I will be back every couple of years to get new ones.
