Ok when I started this thing I was just curious... I personally think AFCIs are a decent product, not the perfect solution. Electricity never seems to have one. I just feel like Im responsible. I work on alot of older (1920's) homes where the timber frames are often already carbonizing. I feel that its almost a professinal duty that if I change and update the panel, why not the overcurrent protection. We use new breakers, why not go ahead and do the right thing. Its not like electrical work in general is so unprofitable that, responsibilty is too expensive.
