I've been lurking for a short while now and I thought, what better place and people to ask than you all.

I live in PA (under 2008 NEC) but I understand that, under the 2014 codes, all living spaces (other than kitchens, bathrooms, laundry areas, outdoors and garages) will be mandated to use combination AFCI/GFCI receptacles in places such as dining rooms, bedrooms and such for new installations and remodeling. Is this true?

If so, is it acceptable to use AFCI breakers in the supply panel and GFCI receptacles in the affected rooms?

A couple of years ago, I came into a supply of 15A GFCI receptacles and replaced ALL the house (built in '52) receptacles with GFCIs. I know it was a huge amount of overkill but the price on the GFCIs was too good to pass up.
