Sorry if this is the wrong section, but couldn't find an appropriate spot. I Have a question regarding an AFCI issue. Two separate circuits both have an AFCI breaker. One for the smoke detector and smoke fire damper, the other for the bedroom receptacles and light. The bedroom light had not yet been installed, and the neutral was not capped off and it was sitting up against the metal box. When I turned on the bedroom circuit, the AFCI did not trip. When I turn on the second AFCI, the first one tripped. Capping the neutral solved this problem, but I can't figure out why turning on the second AFCI would cause the first to trip. I already verified the neutral are landed correctly and nothing is crossed....so any ideas why this happened?
