thank you all. milldrone, it would be my first 'real' meter, and no, I dont intend to use it to check GFCI/AFCI. I can live w/o the frequency function, most generators display that anyway, and it's rare to need to adjust it after it's initially set. I noticed it has a 100A limit on the ammeter; by the looks of the pics I'm guessing anything bigger than #1 or 1/0 cable wont fit in the probe mouth?
I dont work on motors or electronics (at this point), so this meter will have to suffice for now, unless someone has a better recommendation for an 'most-in-one' meter.
