AFCI tripping

?????????????????????????????
There is only one kind of insurance that wont be revoked.

I've only read about walki talkies, or thunder storms tripping GFCI's.
Never thought upstream electronic line noise could bother a GFCI?
Been like 10 years or more but I had a wall switch type occupancy sensor left over from a job and thought I'd put it on the bath light in my shop.

Right from the gate it tripped a GFCI on back side of wall from that switch every time it tried to operate (I think, been a while) The GFCI probably on the same circuit but is not protecting the light is a T8 fluorescent, electronic ballast of course. I gave up and put regular switch back in and never tried any other occupancy sensors on it since. It definitely did not like something that was going on there.

If it had no neutral terminal, it probably sent enough current into the EGC to trip the GFCI.
Except it was not on the load side of the GFCI, and the light still operates when GFCI is tripped. I don't think I even have anything connected to the load terminals of this GFCI.
