Age of meter base

Have an older model General Electric meter base I am trying to find information on. Type I-16, 10 ampere, 115-120 volt base that has 4 dials. Appears to be from early 50's but would like to find more information for display case at City Hall. Any suggestions would help.

B. Holland, Saw your responce on the other site. Again, thanks for the information. Combined that with old plans when the city still had their own power company for display case.
