Can someone please help me with making the connections for All Call from the NEM 10 to a Bogen Receiver? The attachment shows the connections as I think they should be. What designates that button to be All Call? I just picked one.

I have 12 speakers (70v 8ohm) all wired in parallel. Are these wired to the amp correctly? And to the correct input?

Welcome to the forum

First you cant use 8 ohm speakers on a 70 volt line tap output unless they have 70 volt impedance watt tap transformers on each speaker, often called baluns, there are 45 ohm speakers that work on 70 volt systems but are limited to about 8 speakers as there is no way to control the wattage each speaker gets as in the balun type system, this baluns have wattage taps that you must select the total wattage when adding the taps together that must not exceed the output power of the system they are connected to.

so lets say you have a 100 watt amp, them you can use 10 speakers at the 10 watt tap, or 12 speakers at 8.3 watt or less tap, most baluns will have a 7.5 tap for up to 13 speakers@ 100 watt.

when sizing a system you must know the wattage you need at each speaker then add this wattage together and pick a amp with an output at or greater then this, in this case if you would need 10 watts per speaker then you would need an amp with at least 120 watts.

I should add that if you have already purchased the speakers the transformers can be purchased at any electronic supply house, you have a Bogen PA amp that has a total output of 150 watts, so to get the max wattage out of it you need transformers with a tap of 12.5 or less for each speaker, they can be mounted on each speaker for ease of hook up.

you can take the output transistors right out hooking a 8 ohm speaker up to a 70 volt line tap amp, although most have a 8 ohm tap, also make sure the output of the airphone matches the input of the bogen, which I believe has both XLR@1k ohms, and 600 ohm RCA, and may be 300 ohm terminal strip. if the Airphone does not match this you will have to adapt between the two with a matching transformer.

Also the idea of 70 volt line tap is you do not need big heavy speaker wires, even at 8 ohms 16 awg is adaquate for any thing up to 100' but with 70 volt line tap 18-20 awg is big enough.

As far as the interface connections from the Airphone to the Bogen I not sure what kind of output it has to match to the input of the Bogen? I would call the equipment supplyer and ask them on how to interface the two together before powering anything up.
