Hello everyone! Have two questions.. Have an existing 100 main panel in a commercial tenant space. The building is a multi occupancy structure with commercial tenant spaces on the 1st floor(street level), and residential tenants on the second floor. The metering equipment is in the main basement of building. which is accesable to tenants. First question, would the 100 amp panel in the space I am working be considered that spaces main panel, or would it be considered a sub panel being that all the service disconnects and the service for the building is located at the metering equipment in the main basement I spoke of, which is seperate from all tenant spaces? Question#2. The 100 amp panel I am working on is a 12/24 panel with two spares. I need to run 5 ckts for kitchen equipment in that space. Is there a code section that limits the rating of the sub panel or the # of circuits I can add to this existing 100 amp panel? I really appreciate your time and comments! tld38.
