Aluminum jumper for TV ground rod

For a TV ground rod, NEC 2005 810.21 J says ?A bonding jumper not smaller than 6 AWG copper or equivalent?? Does ?or equivalent? mean that 4 AWG aluminum can be used for this jumper? Copper is getting really expensive.
