I must admit I use the 21 foot little giant all the time it folds up into the short bed nice but is a pita to carry and setup. If I had to have only 1 ladder it is a no brainer. I will probably get the fiberglass soon but I paid 500 for the 21 footer I see the gorilla line is cheaper but I have never seen fiberglass. I could always throw a rubber matt under the legs if I had to. I also stock a 6'fiberglass this will cover most calls from a pickup truck. Bird on a wire.

When I started in the trade, I don't ever recall using anything but wooden ladders. Maybe fiberlass wasn't available or cost effective yet.

In any event, the fiberglass extension ladders I have today seem to be as heavy as the wooden ones I used years ago. I'm sure that's not the case, it just seems that way...must be age.

Don't think today's fiber glass ladders are as heavy as our old wooden ladders and they sure last allot longer when taken care of.
As far as those little giant fiberglass ladders, aren't they heavy?
How do you like them and are the the fiberglass one's?

I own the little giant aluminum one and bought the gorilla for work and the gorilla is much heavier..I wish I would of ponied up the extra cash out of my budget for the little giant and the wheels on it in a building are nice to have..

The wheels really scare me.
 
A cow with wheels would scare me to..:grin: ..I thought it would be an issue but the wheels are high enough to posse no problem at-least with my usage..I only use my ladder at work couple times a year that is why i bought one but I still like my better than the gorilla..

There's no reason for that; you have to tip the ladder greater than 45? for the wheels to make ground contact. Besides, the wheels should be placed at the top when the ladder is straight, and can't contact the ground when in a-frame position.
