Article 110.14(C) of the code requires example a 90 deg Celcius wire to be loaded to 60 deg Celcius ampacity rating if connected to a 60 deg terminal/ screw. If the Ampient Temp is 30 deg Celcius no correction factor applies. My question is on Romex. Is a 12-2 Type G NM-B rated at 60,75 or 90 deg. celcius? Normally its connected to a rec. or Sw witha 60 or 70 deg. celcius rating.

Re: Ampacity Rating

Th 90 Degree rating shall be permitted to be used for ampacity derating purposes, provided the final derated ampacity does not exceed that for a 60 degree rated conductor.
