and to iwires post im not looking to talk about my feelings and problems im just wondering what everyone else in the field does about stress and how they manage it

And I am trying to find a reason to leave this non-electrical thread open.

I was on a job where the HO had his best buddy come 1300 miles to run his new house. He yelled at him all the time. One day he raised his voice to me and I let him finish. I them told him he did what no one has done to me in 30 years and the next time would be his last. He was nice as could be after that.

Stress is a personality disorder.

The way I got over stress is by going through it.

When I was once young and unemployed, I remember thinking "If I don't get a job my next week, life will be over".

A few weeks went by and I was still alive.

A few more decades went by and none of the things that came up ever ended my life. I went thru all the normal hardships like root canals, sick children, looming forclosure but everything worked out fine.

Look at your past and recall a situation you felt really stressed about. How did it work out? It probably worked out fine.

Stressing about life situations only complicates them.

Acceptance is the key.

And I am trying to find a reason to leave this non-electrical thread open.

What's the problem? Pretend the title is "Can personal issues affect job performance".
