I have been in the process of transfering notes and comments from my 2002 to my 2005 NEC and have found a bunch of odd discrepancies in Table 5 and Annex C. I have read through both the 2002 and 2005 errata sheets to see if some of these issues have been corrected, and realized they have reversed the errors from each edition.

For example. In the 2002, Type THW #10 is .0243 in?. In the 2005, Type THW #10 is also .0243 in?.

However, per the 2002 Annex C1, use the example of 1" EMT, 14 conductors are permitted. But in the 2005, only 10 are permitted.

This error shows up on a few other occasions. It appears to me that error originates with a misprint that was corrected by the 2002 errata. There were 2 listings for several insulation types that needed to be changed. Using the same example above, THW #10 was listed for both .0243 and .0333 in?. The errata had you delete the .0333 in? value for the table.

What's funny is the 2005 Annex C appears to be calculating allowable fill on the old wrong numbers it actually corrected. This is odd considering the 2002 Annex C appears to be the correct version with the incorrect Table 5 and now the 2005 has the correct Table 5 with a wrong Annex C.
