annunciator @ nurses' station

Is an annunciator required @ a nurses station if 24 hour monitored by campus police. If yes or no, where is the literature please, most important part of this question.

It might be in another code section, but I don't know where.
These two sections leave it up to the AHJ.

From NFPA 72 - 2010 edition:
10.16.3.2 All required annunciation means shall be located
as required by the authority having jurisdiction to facilitate an
efficient response to the fire situation.

From NFPA 101 - 2009 edition:
9.6.6 Location of Controls. Operator controls, alarm indicators,
and manual communications capability shall be installed
at a convenient location acceptable to the authority having
jurisdiction.

Here is my off-the-cuff response: it's common sense. In a patient room, we already know that the occupants may be in no condition to leave the room under their own power. Clearly, the people on duty at the nurse station are able to respond more quickly than the police located in the same facility (who may be managing other emergencies at the same time). As far as code, I'll look tomorrow when I'm at work.

Did you forget to include nurse station annunciators in your bid?
