Are open splices permitted in a display booth of an exhibition hall in a non-GFCI-protected 20A circuit?

No fair, I didn't try at the last one! :D

I really need to either move my computer to the bathroom, or bring the 2008 in here. :D :D

We go through this all the time with exhibitionists. The NEC doesn't apply to utilization devices. (Blenders, toasters, or display booths.) Regardless, the exhibition halls have standards, and open splices are generally a no-no everywhere, definately in Javits.
