I agree with Brian this happens all the time and money is very important. As long as it is code complient and does not violate job specs whats the hazzard?

My company just removed Phased taped #2 black taped green. Ok with NEC but not with job specs. Cost for this mistep? About $46,000.00 I just started this week. My job to stop this kind of thing.

If there is more than one voltage system in the building, and you are using multiple methods to identify a conductor as to its system and phase, then your identification directory at each panel will have to include all of the methods you have used to identify each conductor as to phase and system.

The method can be documented and located on a per instance basis. For example, at each junction box where spliced the method utilized within this junction box is written on the inside of the cover.

The method utilized for conductors originating within each feeder panelboard or similar feeder distribution equipment shall be documented in a manner that is readily available or shall be permanently posted at each feeder panelboard or similar feeder distribution equipment.​
