I came across this location during an inspection of a complete renovation of the house. They added this glass partition/wall between the living space and the stairwell.

Does this wall location require a receptacle as per 210.52(A)?

Somehow this posted before I had a chance to put the picture in...here it is.

I can picture this in my mind almost like a railing between the living room and the stairwell I vote yes receptacle outlets are required. if that is habitable space on this side of the picture.

I say it needs a recep. even without the glass wall and had a railing. Charlie will definite disagree on that point.

A wall is a wall is a wall. The NEC doesn't say a wall can only be made of certain materials. 2x4s and drywall, stone, wood, glass...... it's a wall.

I say Aye!

The room I was standing in when taking the picture is a living room.
The glass wall is between the living room and the stairwell. There are multiple stairwells from this floor level to the upstairs and down stairs as well.
To the right of where I was standing is another interesting wall construction...and very nice view of the Hudson River and surrounding area.
