Anyone studying the 2008 NEC Exam Preparation Book that is having a problem with the answer key solution to unit 7 challenge question # 2 on motor feeders ? What's up with the way the solution is presented ?

Yes,

Look at the L1 column, the 2nd line 18.70A should be slid over to the L3 column. The totals don't add up otherwise. Also, shouldn't the formula line contain one additional 18.70 A motor ? ( 3, 3 phase 208v motors ) ???

May I suggest you look online for an errata posting if you think there is an error. It is pretty common to find these for many books.

I do not have the book so can not help you further unless you can find a way to detail the information you are looking at.
