IN a 400hz ac circuit what is the capacitive reactance of a 26.5 microfarall capacitor? How do you get the answer? Thanks

1/[2(pi)fC] = 1/[2(3.14)(400)(.0000265)]
= 15.0 ohms

I concur.

But just out of curiosity, what type of test are you planning to take, if this is the type of question?

Re: Answer Please

kg18... you won't need any of that info on your test. Just study dwelling and multi-dwelling units in the standard and the optional method. Be very familiar with Commercial Calc's (watch for arc welder's)and there is also 2 calcs for motors, one that asks for breaker size and one for total VA.

There is also one that can be tricky... on the duplex, it's not asking for each units service load but the 2 as a whole.
