One of my supplier has started carrying Wiha tools, and their 1kv rated tools are about equal to the price of Klein uninsulated tools.

Anyone here using these? I’d never heard of them. I need to replace some of my insulated stuff and the price is attractive.

No hands on experience but I hear a lot of good things and the suppliers I have talked to say customers really like them.

Yes I have used them. Used there screw drivers on all of the Scada panels I have done. Nothing fit the terminal strips better.
I also had a set of there insulated tools. Used them when needed for years. When I retired I passed them on to my oldest son who is also an electrician.

I have a set of the mini-screwdrivers (ever need a #00 Phillips? I have), they're great.

I have the same and yes they're great. They also make some excellent torque screw drivers but they're pricey.

I've been using them for years. They are German made and the steel is top notch. Have never chipped or rounded any of them. I really like the feel of the handles, especially on the insulated ones.
Only problem I've had is sometimes they take "legs" and walk off!

Couple of years ago Wiha was really aggressive on their sales, 40% to 50% off, and I started hitting their sales. Ended up with a nice refresh along with some unusual pieces because of the clearance pricing, giant set of snap ring pliers, largest adjustable wrench, curved long nose, lots of screwdriver sets and hex bit sets.

The steel quality in their bits is probably the best available, but the Gearwrench stuff I have is up there also.

If you can wait, try watching their sales for a while.

Ditto I have installed hundreds for control panels, the Wiha precision screwdrivers are all I use. They also make a torque screwdriver than can go to 5 in pounds.
I use Klein in power panels, though. Klien does not make a precision screwdriver = to the Wiha. Klien does make a terminal block screwdriver that is OK.

This is what I am referring to https://www.wihatools.com/tech-tools/precision-screwdrivers. The little red top is free to rotate

This is a very cool multibit tool https://www.wihatools.com/bestselle...ial-phillips-slotted-hex-inch-hex-metric-torx

So all in all Whia makes great tools, but not the same product types as Klein. You could say Klein is more on the installation and large tool side.

A friend of mine is a tech for a saw company. He has lots of Wiha tools. I used a few on a job for him at his house. Excellent tools.
