Alright here's my responce to using a trailer. I actually use a 12' enclosed trailer with a side door and drop gate in the back, single axle. I'm in Florida so I dont have to worry about tight drive ways too often and hills and all. I rarely unhook my trailer and leave it on most times simply for advertising because if it's done right it's an eye catcher as a nice rig. My phone # is in red 8" lettering. As far as taking the 'ol lady' to dinner or getting groceries, i dont see how a box van solves that problem either. If you're using an hour a day to hook up and drop your trailer, may wanna think about why you're doing all that to begin with. My trailer cost $1500 and if I don't use it for a month there's no maintenance or insurance being paid. I actually take my truck and trailer to church so that I get all the advertisement time possible. Trailers are affordable, attention drawing, and very practical if used properly. If it's over head you're thinking about, a trailer beats a truck payment with insurance, and oil changes, and new tires, and old transmissions all day long, beleive me i got rid of 4 vans I thought I needed. If possile drop the trailer in eye sight of a major road way or or Big Orange or Wal-Mart parking lot.
