Hello, this is my first post. So hopefully this is the right spot.
I currently live in the state of Montana and I am enrolled in Montana State University's correspondence electrical apprenticeship program. I have been working as an electrician apprentice for 9 years. The correspondence program is going to kick me out on October 10th, due to failure to finish homework on time. I only have one book left to finish but unfortunately, cannot finish before the due date.
I won't go into a long story of why I'm so behind, but basically a divorce and losing custody of my children, working 6 days a week 10 hour shifts to pay my bills and child support of 1100 a month.
My question is, Does anyone know if I am kicked out of the apprenticeship in Montana, Can I move to another state and try to finish an apprenticeship program? Or have I wasted the last 9 years of my life? And with being kicked out from a program, Would a future employer even bother to hire me???
I know this sounds like a pathetic question but I truly don't know. And hoping somebody on here may have some guidance. Because this is very emotionally hard right now.
Thanks kindly in advance

How long is left. 2 hours every day even Sunday is doable that's 14 hours a week and you can be done in 2 months. No distractions cancel all streaming and keep the phone tv and computer away. No video games or beer. It's git er done time it has be for a while for you but not it's up

You can read up on the Rules and that if "State" controlled you haven't lost your hours of existing past studies.

I'll add do it in the morning 1 hour and 1 hour in the evening
Thank you, I think that's part of my problem, by the time I get home from roping houses all day, I open my homework and do a few questions and literally fall asleep at my kitchen table. I will try waking an hour early and doing it before work! Thank you for the motivation!

I have until October 10th, I am giving all I can and hoping to finish the last correspondence book beforehand. Just terrified that if I don't make it and I am kicked out what to do with my life at 38, I like your idea and do appreciate your response!

Start tonight keep going forward like you're going to finish and I mean after reading this hit the books. If you complete you're good. Spend only a little time asking for an extension of some sort. Ask about it and mention that you had a major life event of a divorce and they may sympathize and offer a month extension. Still work like they won't though.
