Approved drops

I was told by O.S.H.A. that my plant could not use SOW cord as drops to machines. That's fine, so now I am using sealtight. Now my management team wants me to show them a reg that basically states what you can use to run power down to the machines. Everything I have found in the NEC and in the osha hand book gives information on what can not be run, and the weven sow cord can be used as long as it does not pass sharp corners and is safegaurded, yet nothing on sealtight. If I can not prove that sealtight is legal for drops, I will have to run all drops in emt.

Re: Approved drops

Sealtight must be supported and secured at intervals not to exceed 4? feet per 350.30(A). I don't find any exception for "drops" to equipment.

Re: Approved drops

Isn't type SOW allowed per 368.8 (B) and since it is listed as extra hard usage per 400.4 and for use as pendant or portable?

How about buss drop cable, sky ties with springs and kellems grips?

Also here is a response to this question on ECM responded to from Fred Hartwell per the 1999 code.
