Our company was recently called in to finish an apartment that was half finished by another contractor. These apartments were in a building thats use to be an old buisness building five stories high in the middle of town each floor has a 120 208 panel. The problem i ran into was the bedrooms that were all on arc fault where shareing nuetrals off another phase this would cause a trip in one room when the light was switched and in the other rooms when a load was supplied. needless to say i had to isolate all the nuetrals for each circuit. I know i wont probably ever see this situation again but iam i right to say that nuertals cant be shared or is this just this brand of breaker.

Re: arc fault on three phase

Cutler Hammer makes a 2-pole AFCI that is made for a multi-wire branch circut.
It is not intended to be used on 3-phase multiwire branch circuts though.
