Good Afternoon,
Have another one for ya.
Upstate NY - A friend of mine is doing electrical work in his house. He has a sink in his bedroom for whatever reason. The inspector told him he would like the existing arc fault breaker feeding the bedroom lighting and receptacles replaced to an arc/gfi combo breaker due to the sink. After he made the change he has the classic situation of his bedroom LED recessed lighting not turning completely off. The lights are on a single pole switch. Anyone ever notice this? Obviously he can change it back to a regular arc fault to remedy the problem or install a conventional bulb in one location but just thought this was interesting. I assume it must have something to do with residual neutral monitoring current given off by the ground fault portion of the breaker?
