What kind of problems could I run into by replacing standard briant breakers with arc fault breakers 70's panel ?

Also often find old wiring has neutrals from different circuits tied together which is also no bueno "arc fault" (hoax) breakers.

Most likely you will have under priced the project because you will need to find and correct the previously mentioned issues.

LOL They exist, but do they work properly on old house wiring that's not wired correctly in the first place? OP stated a 70's panel, in my experience it's a waste of time. It usually trips constantly due to wiring issues. I got a picture of Santa Clause too but that doesn't mean he actually can fit down the chimney with presents. ;-)

Ya...and we (Oklahoma) had legislation about it last year to offer annual big foot hunting licenses and a $3M bounty on oll furry face's head. You can't make this stuff up!
