The way i read 210.19 A 2020 nec the only time i can use a AFCI RECEPTACLE is to extend a extend a existing non AFCI circuit over 6 feet .

Haven’t read up on them lately, but when they first came out, the arcfault receptacle had to be no more than 5’? From the panel, had to be in emt or conduit that first 5’? Don’t know if it was
