Arcfault dead front devices. Are they reliable?

Hubble and Pass and Seymour make arcfault dead front devices that supposedly look just like a a gfi dead front push button device. Are they reliable ? I wish to use it in a switch box next to a new switch and lights that will be required to be arcfault protected. I can't go the usual route of just replacing the normal breaker in the panel with an arcfault breaker this time Thanks !

Leviton also has a dead front OBC AFCI device.

Once you install, then energize and then TEST the OBC AFCI device, and thereby demonstrate that it has TESTed and operated to interrupt the circuit, THEN the OBC AFCI is "defined" by UL as a working AFCI.

The only "test" of any AFCI, breaker or device, is the self contained TEST button, and, if the AFCI shuts off the load supply, the breaker or device is OK. No other "test" is allowed to determine that the AFCI is OK.

I've used dead front OBC AFCI as needed and never had problems or call backs.

As to whether they are "reliable"? I think that's a religious discussion best left alone.
