Am working up a quote for indoor and exterior lighting on a gas compressor building. The inside of the building is Class I Div 2. The outside is unclassified. Both the indoor and outdoor lights are Class I Div 2, not requiring a seal at their entries. I'd like to run rigid conduit on the inside of the building with tees going to both the inside and the outside lights with Liquatite. I am not sure if I can do so without a seal on the portion of the conduit going through the wall going to the outside lights.
Reading the exemptions, I think I am not required to have seals if I tee off going through the wall with rigid, or if I transition to cable, but not if I use Liquatite?
What do you fine folks say?
