I've seen so much in the way of counterfeit materials and parts lately I'm really not trusting any of it. Supposedly even a large percentage of grade 8 bolts are counterfeit and really grade 5 or worse99% of counterfeit UL labels originate from China.

Well... even a sharpened butter knife will be sharp the first time you use and give you that out of the box experience.Ok so my Chinese Hudbel wall packs came today, they are nice and bright and the UL # checks out

But what box are they supposed to be mounted on? Nothing lines up with the factory knock out screw holes. A 1900 will cover the rectanglar hole where the wires come out, , but I'm drilling 2 new holes to make that happen. Maybe I should have ordered those Chinese Stiel Cidy boxes too
Yeah, I was watching a YouTube video on how everyone’s amazed on how fast they build stuff but then the crap falls apart in like 1015 years. The quality of their products is just garbage. Now that’s a broad brush. There are some good quality crap but on norm they’re garbageWe had a very reputable electrical contractor install over a hundred mid priced cheating china LED luminaries during remodelling office spaces. Less then a year later lens cracked ,drivers failed and a few other problems. When they turned to the supply house for warranty replacements they said sorry that company went out of business and no replacement parts are available. They had to go into one of the rooms to remove those luminaries to replace others then install a made in USA LED in that room. I go way out of my way to not purchase any safety & test equipment & electrical items from lack of caring & quality control nogoodnic communist china. Just had a problem with some hex headed self drilling cheating Chinese screws. One out if every 3 or 4 that I drove in slipped on two different drivers. Dusted off my micrometer and measured the hex heads on the ones that were slipping and they were slightly undersized. Then measured some that I had that were made in USA. They all.measured the same.
I really doubt there's LED elements or LED ballasts produced in commercial quantity in the US. At best, they're "assembled in the US" meaning that LED elements, housing, and LED ballasts produced in China are assembled into a product in a factory in US for sales and marketing purpose. We had a very reputable electrical contractor install over a hundred mid priced cheating china LED luminaries during remodelling office spaces.
