The trany is in the crawl space probably in a 4" sq box mounted on the floor joist. The trany is just a standard bell type with unshielded 20/2 bell wire or t-stat type wire-- my guess anyway.

Okay---there is a gap there so I didn't know if that was considered shielded. It may help reduce electromagnetic field's but it apparently does not eliminate it enough. The one for the furnace is inside the housing of the furnace and it still puts out over 150 mg.

Shielding helps but does not eliminate EMF.
