One of the areas I inspect has no building inspection even though the State requires compliance to SBCC. There is a new addition 4500 sq ft addition being built to a church, the 4500 sq ft, being broken into 6 "classrooms" each about 600 sq ft. and fiitted with tables and chairs.
Would Art 518 allow NM wiring ?
 
Augie, it doesn't sound as though this addition can be considered a Place of Assembly, and IMO would fall under 518.2(B).

So, if there is no other reason that NM would be prohibited I would say it could be used, see 518.4(B)
