Would it be acceptable to supply another building, such as a detached garage or similar building, on the same premises as the service is supplying with 2 or 3 branch circuits if you use 225.30 (E)and place a document on the door of the main panel stating that 2 or 3 circuits supply the detached building , listing the breakers to be turned off to disconnect the building supplied by the 2 to 3 circuits? Also other information could be included on the document, such as locking out the breakers, etc for safety. The definition of a document when I looked it up says, "A WRITING THAT CONTAINS INFORMATION" This document could also be placed in the attached building. This seems like it would satisfy the code, especially when only 2 circuits may be needed when the load is small and seems to not warrant a sub panel. Thanks for the help in answering in advance.
