Am wiring a group of storage units. Power source is 120/240 volt. As I read article 225-30 it states that a disconect is required at each out building (in my case the service is located on building #1, with branch circuits going to buildings 2,3 and 4) When anything more than a multiwire branch circuit is used. I have only 2 circuits, 1 for lighting, and 1 for a receptacle - both are 120 volt 20 amp.

My question is, what if I were to pull an additonal circuit to each building for inside lights? Since inside wiring is outside the scope of article 225, am I still required to use a disconnect?

On a similar note, if I have an out building (like a garage) that has no lights or wiring on the outside of it, am I required to have a disconnect on the branch circuits that feed the inside wiring? (could I legally run 3 or more branch circuits from the panel in the house without having a disconnect means for any of them in the garage?)
