New Jurisdiction - new rules. Or have I just been doing it wrong for years?
Here is the situation. I have Flourescent fixtures hanging from Jack Chain with MC cable feeding them. The Inspector quoted this article. Seems to me that this section applies to wiring integral to the fixture. Manufacturer installed and then field modified as in hanging a chandelier where you have condutors in the open passing through metal(b), stems(c), and Chain (e).
Article 410-14(a) specifically mentions MC as a wiring method for a fixture not mounted to a box.
