I'm installing infrared radiant heaters on a porch ceiling and was wondering if article 424 would cover this type of heating?

I certainly can't think of a reason why it wouldn't.

424.1 Scope. This article covers fixed electric equipment used
for space heating. For the purpose of this article, heating
equipment shall include heating cable, unit heaters, boilers,
central systems, or other approved fixed electric space-heating
equipment. This article shall not apply to process heating and
room air conditioning.

I'm using lutron homeworks QS, so the keypad would basically be the disconnect besides the breaker. Wondering if that would be sufficient.

Does the keypad disconnect all of the ungrounded conductors when turned off.
