The Florida Building Code in it's energy conservation section references that the "electrical distribution systems are subject to the design conditions in Ashrae Standard 90.1". This is seems very vague to me...especially when under the definition of "design conditions" it only mentions HVAC systems and lighting...but does not mention plug load controls. My question is, are most AHJ's, plan reviewers and inspectors in Florida enforcing the Ashrae 90.1 (2010) requirements for plug load controls and having to switch 50% of the receptacles off in offices and computer classrooms?
