Is a motorized circuit breaker type automatic transfer switch allowed to be used as the main disconnecting means?

But to be precise, your transfer switch MUST be labeled for that use, i.e. a S.U.S.E. label. But most of the ones that use breakers are labeled that way, that's the advantage of using them.

Thanks for the info guys!! The ATS is to be fabricated based on my specs, so I'll have to make sure that it's service rated.
