Is your ATS service rated? I have never seen a service rated ATS without a main.

You can always add a service disconnect ahead of the ATS, if have already installed it.
It is interesting to me that we seem to all talk of, "Install the disconnect here" when we really mean, "Install the service disconnecting means and service overcurrent protection here." I believe we sort of lost the additional phrase when most people started using circuit breakers and they both were included in the same piece of equipment. :smile:it would also require OCPD's also if my reading of the code is still up to par?
