Can a Automatic Transfer Switch be fed by the secondary side of Utility Transformer with no Main Disconnect Switch? Main Over Current Protection is located at the Main Service after the ATS. What Reference Code Section would this apply to?

only to add if it non-fused, you have to be careful about the interrupt rating...most, if not all, are 10k

It is interesting to me that we seem to all talk of, "Install the disconnect here" when we really mean, "Install the service disconnecting means and service overcurrent protection here." I believe we sort of lost the additional phrase when most people started using circuit breakers and they both were included in the same piece of equipment. :smile:

Yep Charlie, I have a bad habit of making sure the intent of the poster because of the few people here that might not realize he was talking about combo equipment that serves both requirements.
