I am not sure of your application but many of these JB are not listed for NM cable... Why, I don't know. This is perhaps a separate issue but I was thinking that is why the inspector many have turned it down. I was amazed but right on the cover it said not for use with nonmetallic cable.

why is the #10 bonding jumper only good to 30 amps?

It's not.
It's good up to 60A (250.122) ...on the load side of the service (250.102(d) ) :wink:
