available fault current calculation

Am having ,a problem finding the proper formula, and example for determining the avail fault current calc. For marking a panel. The example I have says I need to know kva rating of the transformer and the nameplate impedance. Its up the pole.So how do I get that, or am i going in the wrong direction here. I have looked in the code book for examples but cant find one. Thanks

For utility company transformers, you get the available fault current from the utility.
