I don't know where else to post this question. I was unable to change my avatar. I made the mistake of selecting do not use avatar and deleted my old one. I don't understand the new format. Would some one please help me put my avatar back.

Thanks.

I think it warns you that selecting "no avatar" will delete the one you are presently using. I think you need an electronic file that contains the avatar image to be on your hard drive. Then when you update your profile, you upload that electronic file. So the problem really is finding an electronic file of the image you want to use. Mine came from a photograph that I took 14 years ago, during my first trip to Seattle.

No, the avatar setup portion of the profile is busted. Hopefully Webmaster Joe will find some time for this and other issues as time goes by.

In the meantime, just observe other people's avatars (that haven't learned the hard way) and wallow in jealous despair. :)

Thanks George,

I guess thats what I needed to hear. Bummer for me. I just had to go and blow out the avatar I was unhappy with. No picture for Sparky_Magoo.

BTW, why am I a senior member now? Is it a matter of time as a member? Or is it the number of posts? If so, that could be an indication I need to get off the computer and get a life! Just kidding. This forum is my life. Yeah right.

SENIOR MEMBER= 100 posts or more
MEMBER= 30-99 posts
JUNIOR MEMBER= 29 posts or less

How did you come up with that description, Trevor? I couldn't find a definition anywhere. Any how's come there are no higher titles? I should be at least an "executive member," and Bob (Iwire) should be at least a "royal member."

I scrolled through the member list and found the points where the status changed and noted what the required number of posts was to go from one level to the next. I do find it rather strange that the levels are so close together numerically. I would have thought that a senior member would need like 1000 posts.

I agree about King Bob.

I agree about King Bob.

I also agree. If a lame like me is a senior member, this forum is hurting. I feel like a total amatuer compared to many of the members I consider "seniors". I post here to learn. Calling me a senior is a discredit to the gentlemen ( I avoid the word expert ) who drive this forum.

I would agree to king Bob, but then what about charlie? Prince Charlie? Sir Charlie? or how about almost all knowing one? If we get any princess or queens, I would like the avatar to be a photo of them.

I'm already "Sir Knight Charlie." That's good enough for me.

In case you ever wondered what Latin phrase the Possum Lodge members were reciting at the start of their meetings, now you know. :)
I thought none of them were saying the same thing, which is where I found the humor in it. I guess I was laughing at the wrong thing.

LMAO too!
