Does NEC address backfeeding - line in the load side - a breaker?

I also wonder if the industry accounts for these as "feed through" or rated to back feed?

If the breaker is labeled as Line and Load then you can not reverse them.

Are there any common one's so marked? I've often heard that as part of the standard question to this question, but I've never observed any in the field that were so marked.

See 408.36(F)

Got it; 408.16(F). I also notice (D) "Where a panelboard is supplied through a transformer, the overcurrent protection in 408.16(A), (B), and (C) shall be located on the secondary side of the transformer."
This actually applies in my situation as the panel is being served from a pole mounted XFMR and is also mounted on the same pole just 15' below, I'll need to check inrush current also.
