Back Stab Receptacles

The only thing getting stabbed, when you use backstab receptacles, is the customer

And the customer is some gc that works for someone who sales house to someone that dosent know and even if they did wouldnt know it is not the prefered method. So I'll ask it I dont think it is a good pratice and I dont do it... Why is it legal? Alot of us know its a problem why are they addressing no romex from under house into lb into panel but let this go?

I saw one old salt rebel against the #14 limitation. He actually drilled out the holes in the back of the new devices so that #12 would fit in there ...

When I started in the trade (1990) I remember using the receptacles that had 4 backstabs per side, no screws.
