Hi new to the forum and I have a question.
We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and we hit a snag today. We have a half wall that on the kitchen side we have 2 outlets that are horizontally mounted to fit below the bar top. Our issue is that when we installed the base cabinets and went to install the counter tops the 2 outlets cover plates sit flush on the counter top. is there a code against this? The circuit is GFCI protected. We are just trying to avoid having to uninstall the cabinets and cut open a finish wall if possible. My wife is ok with them touching the counter top just want to make sure its ok. Thank you

On the other hand, it also sounds like you are not in fact performing electrical work, just cabinet installation with existing electrical. If that is the case, PM me.
