PureSpectrum’s proprietary ballast design resulted in significant gains in color quality, light quality and other performance measures without sacrificing energy efficiency.
And they just tested there Better dimmable ballast! They never said when its going inot production,

Thanks George

CFLs are already dim !! Just kidding, I love them, look at my avetar. e/m
Edit: Just read the article, very intersting. The fact is that a lot of customers don't want to switch from incandescents to CFLs, because their incand. lights are on dimmers, and they don't want to install a new switch, plus dimming capability is a desirable feature. Now if these new CFLs are not too expensive, then the fact that they work with conventional dimmers will make them very popular. Best, e/m

Cadpoint, a word of advice - we tend to close "links" threads. Try to comment on an article when you want to post a link to it, or your thread may be closed.

It is good to see that the technology is improving for dimming CFLs with conventional dimmers, as the original dimmable CFLs have been very lackluster in their performance, IMO.
