Banned ringed meter cans

Look through their documents, they could just be blowing smoke up Your butt, half of these guys are so so called engineers, but there were nothing more than a labor before.

The POCO sets the requirements for its cash register. It’s a ringed meter here as poco can install a ring lock. I would get the SS rings

Did you look at the link in post #2?

No, I didn’t is the document says he has to change it. Then he has to if the document doesn’t say anything that he doesn’t. He needs to read the documents.

Hit the nail on the head.
The guys that go out to “stake” or plan a job, do not know all the requirements.
The way salaries have gotten now at utilities hiring a top lineman that knows both sides it too expensive. Most of those guys putting the job on paper have NEVER built a power line, never wired a base, they came in off the street inexperienced and are trained to put the job on paper.
Sometimes you will get a guy that actually knows what’s going on because he has actually built a power line or installed a meter base.
These guys work out of the “engineering department”. That in itself does not make them engineers.

I don’t miss it like I thought I would..😎

I don't see much difference between ring and ringless. Most around here want ringless. Maybe with ringless the meter can be locked more securely?
I believe with ring style the meter has the possibility of racing between the stabs and enclosure while being withdrawn. This is less likely to occur with singles which requires the entire cover to be removed.
