Basement Kitchenette Wiring

Does a basement kitchenette still need two SABC's, or will one suffice? The area will have a countertop, sink, microwave, and refrigerator only; no disposal, dishwasher, nor cooking appliances.

Code says" Kitchen = a sink and provisions for food prep and cooking"

So I guess if you have a sink, counter top and microwave it's a kitchen That was the 2017 code

The wording is actually “permanent provisions”, so if the microwave is not built in, I’d say it doesn’t meet the definition.

That said, 2 SABCs would still be a good idea.
